"I’m ready for new music."
Kylie Minogue is back in the studio.
As quoted in The Sun newspaper, she said, "I've been making albums now for over 30 years, but each one is a different journey. I'm ready for new music.
"I can't reveal what the sound is yet, but it is all super exciting. It's always a challenge to find that next sound.
"My last album was mostly made during lockdown. To be back in the studio with some of my favourite people is simply a joy."
Kylie Minogue delighted fans with her 2020 album, Disco, a return to her pop roots following her 2018 country pop-inspired record, Golden. She last toured Australia in 2019.
In September, it was announced that her 1997 album, Impossible Princess, would see its first-ever vinyl issue to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Following on from her first self-titled album, which set down its creative path with the dark pop of Confide In Me, Impossible Princess continued Minogue's creative evolution.

The vinyl is being released in four variants- a limited picture disc (already sold out), transparent violet (direct website exclusive), orange, and marbled with gatefold slick. We're disappointed not to have a variant with the limited lenticular cover that adorned the original album's limited edition, but beggars can't be choosers.
'Impossible Princess' is available to pre-order now from the Kylie website or your local record store.
She also recently reunited with her Neighbours castmates for one last journey down memory lane.
After the announcement that the soap would be cancelled, Minogue said she would be "forever grateful for the experience and the friends I made on Neighbours".
"We had no idea how big the show would become and how passionately viewers would take it to heart," she shared.
