Kishi Bashi Names Debut Australian Shows

The singer-songwriter and mulit-instrumentalist will be here in July

More Kishi Bashi Kishi Bashi

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kishi Bashi has announced his first tour of Australia.

The musician, whose real name is Kaoru Ishibashi, blends an array of sounds together to form his quirky and worldly experimental style. Ishibashi is a renowned violinist but on the same token, is a member of indie new wave act Jupiter One and can beatbox, so if you're not familiar with his style, you're probably catching on that it's pretty damn eclectic.

The artist will play two shows while he's here in July – Sydney's Newtown Social Club on Tuesday 1 July and then the following night at Northcote Social in Melbourne. You can find ticket details below.

Kishi Bashi's newest album Lighght is out now through Pod/Inertia. Read our four-and-a-half star review on the record now.
