Band have winter tour lined up
Melbourne heavy rock outfit King Parrot has signed with the New World Artists agency, theMusic.com.au can reveal, with their upcoming winter tour the first fruit of the relationship.
It's been a busy period for the thrash outfit, who appointed new drummer Todd Hansen (to debut on their July dates) and recently signed with New York's Extreme Management Group after a strong SXSW showing, a centrepiece of their 45-date North American jaunt.
They are being booked by New World Artists' Tom Johanessen and join a roster that includes Northlane, Dead Letter Circus, In Hearts Wake and Thy Art Is Murder.
The upcoming tour is expected to be one of the last times for a while that you'll be able to catch the band headlining Australian venues.

In June the band's Wayne Slattery told theMusic.com.au that they've sorted out their touring etiquette and are ready to have a real run at making the band work.
“There was several times across the six weeks [on tour] where I just couldn't believe that we hadn't punched each other the fuck out,” he said. “There's been no serious arguments… sometimes alcohol's involved and people are dicks. Sometimes alcohol's not involved and people are still dicks. But it's compartmentalised and it's fine. We made the decision a while ago to treat it fucking seriously, and don't party until after the show.”
New World Artists have spent the last 12 months reinvigorating their roster, with the most recent signing being 17-year-old Melbourne rapper Baro.
