Album recorded with ex-Pantera frontman
Melbourne grind-thrash-heavy-metal outfit King Parrot have signed a label deal for the release of their new album, recorded with former Pantera singer Phil Anselmo.
Fresh of destroying Soundwave staged, King Parrot have inked an agreement with Melbourne-based EVP Recordings, home to Psycroptic, Behemoth and The Amenta. Their new record will be released May.
King Parrot travelled to Anselmo’s New Orleans studio, Nodferatu’s Lair, where Anselmo said, “King Parrot is not only a great live band, but they are as genuine and down to earth as it gets.”
Currently in Europe the band will return to the US for the SXSW festival before a mid-April tour of the country.
