Can Killswitch Engage Score Their First Ever #1 Aussie Album This Week?

Only a week after Slipknot picked up their third-straight #1 Australian album, fellow US metal outfit Killswitch Engage are looking to score their first ever #1 local record with Atonement.

Midweek figures suggests the Massachusetts five-piece's eighth studio LP will land in the top three of the ARIA Albums chart and challenge for top spot against Slipknot and Ed Sheeran's No 6 Collaborations Project.

Killswitch Engage's highest chart placing in Australia came with 2016's Incarnate which peaked at #5. Check out our recent chat with Killswitch vocalist Jesse Leach here.


Other debuting albums set to crack the chart this Saturday include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Infest The Rat's Nest (top ten), the Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood soundtrack, Sleater-Kinney's The Center Won't Hold (both top 20), Press Club's Wasted Energy (top 30) and A$AP Ferg's Floor Seats (top 50).

Over on the Singles chart, burgeoning Australian artist Tones & I will look to take her reign on top of the list to four weeks with Dance Monkey, after the Byron Bay-based songwriter last week became the first local female solo act to top the chart for at least three weeks since 2008.
