Slipknot Pick Up Third Straight Aussie #1 Album With 'We Are Not Your Kind'

US group Slipknot have secured their third straight Australia #1 album on the ARIA Albums Chart.

The group's latest, We Are Not Your Kind, has picked up the top spot on this week's chart, knocking UK artist Ed Sheeran and his  No 6 Collaborations Project from its four week run at the top of the chart. Sheeran is now sitting at #2. 

Slipknot's 2014 album 5: The Grey Chapter and 2008's All Hope Is Gone also both secured the #1 spot.

The Teskey Brothers remain this week's highest Australian album on the chart this week at #3 with Run Home Slow, while Fleetwood Mac's 50 Years – Don’t Stop debuts at #7 off the back of their current Australian tour and Bon Iver's I,I debuts at #8.

Making the top 20 on debut are Safia's Story's Start Or End at 13 and Seeker Lover Keeper's Wild Seeds at #14, while hitting the top 40 are Trippie Redd's ! (#24), Bazzi's Soul Searching (#25), Route 33's Coro Drive (#26) and the Palm Beach soundtrack. 

Over to the Singles Chart, Tones & I secures her third week at the top of the chart with Dance Monkey. The Byron Bay artist's other tracks Johnny Run Away and Never Seen The Rain also stay strong at #18 and #22 respectively. 

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's Senorita remains at #2, while Lil Nas X's Old Town Road stays at #3. Lil Tecca's Ransom debuts at #15 as does Katy Perry's Small Talk at #33
