"Can't wait to help add more of her music in awesome tv, film and advertising projects.“
Aussie artist Kids At Midnight, aka Jane Elizabeth Hanley - who scored international attention thanks to Mindy Kaling and her Netflix show, Never Have I Ever, has signed a US publishing deal.
The Melbourne songwriter has inked a deal with Modern Works Music Publishing which boasts a roster that includes acts like Third Eye Blind, Toni Braxton and Ani DiFranco.
“I first heard Boys Like You as I was binging Never Have I Ever on Netflix earlier this year. When the song started playing during the season finale I literally reached for my phone to Shazam it," Modern Works Music Publishing Creative Director, Shayna Casey, told The Music.
"That led me down a Kids At Midnight rabbit hole and ultimately turned into a solo dance party in my apartment. It perfectly captured my love for synthy '80s music and somehow sounded like nothing I had heard before.
"I feel so lucky to get to work with Jane at Modern Works Music Publishing - she's such a talented writer, producer, artist and a truly delightful human being.

Hanley added, “It’s always been a huge goal of mine to find a home for my sound with a publisher that really got Kids At Midnight, so it’s so cool to become a part of the Modern Works family.
"I feel really small making music in my room but when I make it I’m dreaming of big romantic cinematic moments so it kind of all fits. Having my song on Never Have I Ever was this amazing thing that has brought us together, so the future is really exciting!”
New Kids At Midnight single, Love In Slow Motion, is set for release next Friday (20 November).
