At 17 years, five months and 22 days, The Kid LAROI is now the youngest Australian solo artist to score a local #1 album.
As predicted in the midweek figures, the Sydney rapper's Fuck Love (Savage) mixtape has jumped up to top spot on the ARIA Albums chart, which sees LAROI take the record from Delta Goodrem and her debut album, Innocent Eyes, which hit #1 in 2003 at at 18 years, 6 months and 20 days.
The Kid LAROI is now also the second male Indigenous solo artist to top the list after late legend Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu who went to #1 in April 2018 with Djarimirri (Child Of The Rainbow).
“Wow, this is insane," LAROI said.
"#1 in my own country means more to me than anything in the world. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and been with me through all of this.

"I love you all and I can’t wait to see you all again soon.”
New ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd added, "This is an incredible feat for an artist of any age and, with audiences around the world embracing his music, it is obviously just the beginning".
With The Kid LAROI topping the Albums chart and 17-year-old US singer Olivia Rodrigo's Driver's License staying at #1 on the Singles chart for a fourth straight week, it is just the second time in ARIA chart history that artists under the age of 18 have topped the lists.
Billie Eilish is the only artist to have achieved the feat, topping the Singles list with bad guy and the Albums chart with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? in April 2019.
“To take home a number one album at the age of 17 is very special and LAROI is so well deserving of this success," Sony Music Entertainment Chairman and CEO of Australia and New Zealand, Denis Handlin AO said.
"To see his development from when we first met him at 12 years old is incredible. LAROI is the real deal – we will give him all the support in the world and at the same time, get out of the way so that his brilliance gives him the creative wings to fly.”
