Australians have been mourning the loss of beloved music icon Kenny Rogers by listening to a lot of his music.

Midweek figures show the US singer, who passed away across the weekend at age 81, is set to storm the ARIA charts this week.

Rogers’ All The Hits And All New Love Songs compilation is vying for a top 5 debut on the ARIA Albums chart, while seminal hit The Gambler looks to re-enter the Singles chart, landing somewhere in the top 20, as Dolly Parton duet Islands In The Stream looks to crack the top 50.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s fourth LP, After Hours, is looking to claim #1 on the ARIA Albums chart, following album cut Blinding Lights dominating the Singles chart in recent weeks.

Also expected to debut on the Albums chart this week is Adam Lambert’s Velvet (top 5), Kelsea Ballerini’s Kelsea (top 20) and Conan Gray’s Kid Krow (top 30), while Australian outfit The Smith Street Band are aiming for a top ten finish with Live At The Triffid.

Lambert’s Velvet was The Music’s Album Of The Week, following the singer’s appearance on The Green Room With Neil Griffiths while he was in Sydney with Queen earlier this month.
