Kaytranada To Headline New Perth Festival, SURRENDER NYE

The Western Australian music scene has just gotten a little bit bigger, with the exciting news that this New Year's Eve will welcome the newly-announced SURRENDER NYE festival to its capital.

Set to take place at Langley Park in Perth on the evening of Wednesday, December 31st, SURRENDER NYE is described as marking an exciting new chapter in the city's live music scene.

With "world-class artists, cutting-edge production, and an immersive celebration of electronic culture under the stars," the event is already gearing up to make a big splash with its inaugural happening.

Leading the charge for SURRENDER NYE is none other than Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ Kaytranada, who will appear in an exclusive Australian performance. 

His second appearance in the country this year, following an energetic run of dates in January in support of his recent record Timeless, Kaytranada's upcoming show will be his first local date since the release of his latest album, Ain't No Damn Way!, which arrived in August to widespread acclaim.

Joining the celebrated music-maker on the night will be Lou Phelps who, in addition to being Kaytranada's brother and frequent collaborator, also makes up one half of The Celestics alongside his older sibling. An additional, curated support is set to be announced closer to the event.

The stellar line-up, and the open-air vibe of the affair, all go into ensuring SURRENDER NYE is a night to remember, with organisers promising "a night of boundary-pushing electronic and hip hop fusion beneath Perth’s skyline and fireworks."

Tickets for the inaugural edition of Perth's SURRENDER NYE go on sale from 9am AWST on Wednesday, November 12th, with a pre-sale launching 24 hours earlier. Pre-sale registration is available now.
