Kanye West Rumoured To Announce An Australian Tour Soon

Reports began to surface last night that a Kanye West tour of Australia was expected soon when a ticketing site teased some upcoming major announcements.

Music Feeds reported that a ticket outlet had boasted of "five mega announcements in 30 days" and later an image was posted showing five silhouettes of major recording artists, many speculating they represented West, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams and Katy Perry. The image has since been removed - however "waitlists" now exist for each of the arists.

Earlier today an image began circulating on Twitter (via The Vine's Sinead Stubbins) of two Kanye West tour posters, reportedly pasted up in inner city Melbourne. The posters read: "Kanye West Touring April - May 2014" with an on sale date. The posters feature an image of West being drawn skyward by rays of light - the artwork being used on his website to promote his current US tour.

West was last in Australia for Big Day Out in 2012. If a tour is announced, it would be his first headline tour here since 2008.
