Kacey Musgraves shares her new album today Star-crossed today, with Aussie fans set to be amongst the first in the world to check out the album's companion film.
Directed by Bardia Zeinali, the film stars Musgraves and sees the US artist joined by the likes of Schitt's Creek actor Eugene Levy, Victoria Pedretti (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, You), US artist Princess Nokia, Symone (RuPaul’s Drag Race winner) and comedian Megan Stalter during the 50 minute long film.
"We wanted it to feel cinematic and epic without compromising the heart and the emotion," said Zeinali, “to feel fantastical and heightened and tell her story through the lens of art and fashion.”
Star-crossed the film is set to air on Australian screens from today, with a premiere on MTV and CMT at 8pm tonight, while also available on the Paramount+ streaming service.
The album is the official fourth studio album from Musgraves, following on from her 2018 global breakout album Golden Hour, 2015's Pageant Material and 2013's Same Trailer Different Park, as well as her 2016 Christmas special, A Very Kacey Christmas.
