One of country's biggest stars joins the bill
One of the biggest country music stars to emerge in the past two years, Kacey Musgraves has been added to the line-up for next year’s CMC Rocks festival.
Taking place in Queensland at Ipswich’s Willowbank Raceway next year, Musgraves joins a bill that already includes Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich, Chris Young, Troy Cassar-Daley and John Williamson.
The 26-year-old Musgraves won a Grammy Award for her debut 2012 album Same Trailer, Different Park, which included the cross-over hit Merry Go Round. As well as becoming one of the biggest acts in country, she’s toured with Katy Perry at the pop star’s invite. On her first Australian visit she’ll be playing exclusively at CMC Rocks.
“I'm so excited to finally be bringing my music to Australia for the first time and to see what it's all about,” she said. “I love new places. Especially ones that love country music.”
