Justin Bieber, The Wolfe Brothers Take Out Christmas #1s

You'd think that Christmas week would see the shutters put up and everyone out to lunch, but instead Justin Bieber has stormed the castle to take the #1 position on the Radio Monitor Hot 50 chart this week, pushing Ed Sheeran back down to #3. 

Adele continues her tumble after giving up the top spot last week, dropping to #10. Gayle is this week's big mover with abcdefu cracking the top 20 for the first time while the biggest new entry goes to Rain Radio & DJ Craig Gorman with Talk About. Of course, it's Christmas with Mariah Carey jumping ten spots and John & Yoko popping in with 'Happy Christmas (War Is Over)'. 

The Countrytown 50 continues its musical chairs at the top with The Wolfe Brothers back in control playing swapsies with Casey Barnes to reclaim the top. It's been a huge week for James Johnston as his banging new hit Small Town makes its move, jumping a massive 25 places to land at #12 just in front of his first #1 hit Raised Like That which also rises this week. 

Over on the triple j 20, Wet Leg has taken the crown with Too Late Now while Yung Bae x Cosmo's Midnight are a new entry with Straight Up Relaxin. Could there be a better tune for this time of year? Over on the Aussie 20 The Kid Laroi snatches back the top spot from Shouse, while Paul Kelly drops back in for his annual Gravy appearance. The National Indigenous Music Chart is stable this week with The Kid Laroi still firmly in charge. 

Stability also on Tik Tok where Pope Is A Rockstar is still in control for Sales and New Rules takes runner up honours for Cheers. I guess it's kind of Christmasy? The rest of the chart includes the usual grab bag of randomness that says a lot about society as the theme from Elf mixes it with Spongebob Squarepants in a psychology exam that even the best A&R person will be scratching their head over.
