Julia Stone Releases New Solo Track Co-produced By St Vincent

Aussie singer Julia Stone has given fans a taste of her forthcoming album and first in eight years with new single, Break. 

The track is co-produced by US legend St Vincent (aka Annie Clark) and Thomas Bartlett (Yoko Ono), with contributions from Warpaint's Stella Mozgawa and The National guitarist Bryce Dessner.

“I was so floored by Break," Clark said.

"The feel, the vibe, it’s catchy but weird - like You Can Call Me Al through the looking glass."

The release comes after Stone announced she had signed an exclusive global record deal with BMG.

"Julia Stone is a certified icon and her new music is beyond masterful," BMG Managing Director Australia, Heath Johns, said of the signing.

"Starting with the majesty of Break, we are truly looking forward to sharing all of Julia’s new songs and visuals with fans around the world."
