In an interview with theMusic this week, the one and only Josh Homme confirmed to us that his little Queens Of The Stone Age side project Eagles Of Death Metal are currently in the studio and are a good way into the recording of their fourth LP.
“I've actually been in the studio with Eagles Of Death Metal,” he told theMusic Melbourne editor Bryget Chrisfield.
But by the sounds of things, it's all pretty casual. When asked how many tracks had been recorded, Homme gave a half-cryptic answer.
“To be honest I don't know. But I think it's six, but it might be the letter 'L'…

“That was confusing,” he admits after being pressed further on the odd response. “No, I think it's about six by now.”
While that might suggest a new record soon for a lot of bands, it seem Eagles Of Death Metal are never in much of a hurry.
“Yeah, we're just kinda working at a reasonable, sort of casual pace,” he said. “We've got wandering and ambling down to a science.”
The bands most recent album was 2008's Heart On. Recently Josh Homme said that Queens Of The Stone Age were ready to record a new album, just months after the release of their revered …Like Clockwork.
Eagles Of Death Metal play Soundwave 2014. Queens Of The Stone Age play arena dates with Nine Inch Nails in March.
