Jimmy Barnes Tried To Congratulate Bernard Fanning On His New Album & It Did Not Go Well

But it was hilarious...

More Jimmy Barnes Jimmy Barnes

They're considered two of the most influential figures in Australian music and while it's nice to hear that Jimmy Barnes and Bernard Fanning are mates, it appears that they may not be on the same page when it comes to exchanging phone numbers.

Barnes took to Facebook this morning to share a pretty hilarious exchange that occurred, where he claimed to have texted the Powderfinger frontman to wish him all the best for his new album, Civil Dusk, out this Friday.

Except, apparently, it wasn't Fanning he texted. Because he has the wrong number.

"Who is this? And how did you get my number?" the recipient of Barnes' text replied.

"Please STOP texting me or I will report you to the police, this is the second time you've done this...go away."

Can't blame a guy for texting his friend though, right?
