And an album is on the way.
Jet frontman Nic Cester is set to play his first-ever solo shows in Australia next month to introduce the world to his forthcoming album.
Having lived in Berlin, Milan and Como throughout the last six years, Cester has been working on new music with his all-Italian band, Calibro 35, and producer Jim Abbiss (Adele, Queens Of The Stone Age) and Aussie fans will get to see the finished product at the upcoming gigs.
Cester will play two exclusive headline shows in April, hitting the stage at The Toff In Town in Melbourne, followed by a gig at The Basement in Sydney, as well as his already-announced set at Bluesfest.
"It feels like the right thing to do with these songs," the acclaimed singer said.

"Normally you would release music then go and play the songs live, but I like the idea of returning to the source, the live show, to let people who are interested come and hear the songs played with all the energy and human connection that make them come alive.
"I really want to do things differently to how I've done them before and challenge myself and the band, and this feels like a really exciting way to do it."
Cester's first solo album is due out later in the year.
Tickets for the shows go on sale from 10am on Wednesday, 22 March — for more info, click on theGuide.
