Jesse Younan’s songs get a helping hand from a range of indie artists.
Ten Australian best independent artists have put their own spin on songs from the late Jesse Younan. The singer-songwriter passed away in 2008 from acute myeloid leukemia, only days after he completed his final album A Good Day For A Migraine.
The tribute album called Take Something Beautiful will feature a collection of Younan's songs covered by the likes of Abbe May, Lucie Thorne, Jordie Lane and Jai Pyne from The Paper Scissors. The project was the brainchild of Younan's close friend and Vitamin Records Director Glenn Wright and Source Music's Norman Parkhill, who had a hand in getting Younan's music played on ABC's East of Everything and Packed To The Rafters.
Take Something Beautiful will be available from Monday 14 May.
