James Reyne’s successful Fall Of Crawl tour has been taking him across the country this year, but this morning, the singer announced that a handful of shows need to be rescheduled on medical advice.

His shows in Penrith, Sydney, Adelaide, and Bellarine, which were scheduled for later this month and early March, have been moved to April. Reyne was recently diagnosed with a Basal Cell Carcinoma – the most common form of skin cancer – under his left eye, and requires necessary procedures and treatment.

“By way of explanation as to why we’ve moved some of the Fall Of Crawl shows, I’ve had a Basal Cell Carcinoma diagnosed on the skin under my left eye, a consequence of a lifetime in the sun,” Reyne commented in a statement.

He continued, “It needs to be surgically removed and involves a recovery period of a couple of weeks, so it’s meant that we’ve had to re-schedule a few of the gigs.

“Huge apologies for any inconvenience, but I’ve been advised to get this procedure done, and we’ll be back, meatier, beatier, bigger, brighter and bouncier than ever before.

“To that end, bring back the Slip, Slop, Slap ads and get yourself checked!”

Existing ticketholders have valid tickets for the rescheduled shows. For more ticketing information, head to the Fall Of Crawl website.

The Fall Of Crawl tour finds Reyne looking back on Australian Crawl – 40 years since their disbandment, to be exact. During the shows, he’s been performing the hits of Australian Crawl and more.

He previously said of the tour, “It’s everything you know and love, celebrating things been and gone; and how time really does f**king FLY!”

With special guests Boom Crash Opera, Nick Barker, 1927 & Models, and Josh Owen, the shows continue to be a guaranteed good time.
