The 'Superharp' will perform at The Basement

Award-winning blues star and maestro of the harp, James Cotton has announced an extra Sydney show to go with his already announced Australian shows next year, including his appearance at Bluesfest.

The James Cotton Blues Band will perform at Sydney's The Basement on Wednesday 23 April, just after his Bluesfest showing and his co-sideshow date with fellow music legends Buddy Guy and Charlie Musselwhite in Melbourne. All details can be found in theGuide.

The 78 year-old, who has worked with the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Janis Joplin, Sonny Boy Williamson and Muddy Waters, is continuing to find success even later on in his career - this year alone, he's been nominated for five blues awards. His tour of Australia marks his first trip down under and we're hoping there will be many more to come.
