With less than a month left until the beloved British music festival, Mighty Hoopla, makes its Australian debut in Sydney, new acts have just joined the bill.

Announced in October, festival organisers announced that the event’s Australian debut would spotlight pop, queer joy and community. The festival takes place at the picturesque location of Bondi Beach, with global pop sensation Kesha headlining the inaugural event Down Under.

The line-up announcement also starred hitmakers such as Becky Hill, Australian pop queens Delta Goodrem and Jessica Mauboy, reality TV royalty Countess Luann (of The Real Housewives of New York City fame), rising star Rose Gray, Tom Aspaul, BIG WETT, The Blak Queen curated by Darwin diva Miss Ellaneous, the First Nations show Rocky Stallone, and more.

Today, the line-up has grown once more. British performer Jamelia and local act Rogue Traders will perform at this year’s festival, while more entertainers have also joined the bill.

Known for her #1 hit Superstar, Jamelia has locked in an Australian-exclusive performance at this year’s Mighty Hoopla. Rogue Traders, best known for their dominant 2000s single, Voodoo Child, will exclusively take to the festival stage.

The newly-announced stars will be joined by Queensland-based DJ Ney Like A Horse – who will perform alongside DJs Hayday, Gaff E, Lagoon Femshayma and Toby Corton – as well as cabaret provocateur Reuben Kaye, UK performers Clitclaw, and drag powerhouse Kween Kong.

You can check out the full line-up below. Tickets to this year’s Mighty Hoopla are available here.

“Waverley Council is so excited to welcome one of the UK’s most-loved Festivals to Bondi,” said Waverley Council Mayor Will Nemesh. “The overwhelming message from residents and businesses in the several weeks since the 14 December terror attack is that it is time for a bit of joy to come back to Bondi.”

Nemesh added, “The Bondi community is an incredibly resilient one, and there is a real determination to not cower, and to come together and to remember all the things that make our beautiful home by the sea so wonderful. It is more important than ever for locals and visitors alike to embrace everything our beloved stretch of sand has to offer.”
