One of the UK’s most successful music festivals and celebrations of pop culture, Mighty Hoopla, has revealed details of its forthcoming Australian debut.
Crashing into Sydney on Saturday, 21 February, and taking over Bondi Beach, the inaugural event promises “an explosion of pure joy, fierce performances, and unapologetic pop brilliance,” bringing along the festival’s signature blend of live music, mischief, and mayhem.
Leading the festival’s Australian debut is global pop sensation Kesha, whose 2026 tour dates conspicuously had a Sydney date missing upon announcing her TITS OUT Tour. Set to bring pop anthems of fun and empowerment, from TiK ToK to We R Who We R to Praying to Joyride, she’s the perfect artist to headline the first-ever Australian edition of Mighty Hoopla.
While no other acts have been announced, a press release notes that the festival will feature “iconic artists, drag royalty, DJs, and queer party collectives” from Australia and abroad, teasing that the line-up will land “very soon.”
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10:00 am am AEDT on Wednesday, 22 October, followed by the general sale at 10:00 am am AEDT on Thursday, 23 October. You can sign up for pre-sale tickets here and find out more about the Sydney event on the Mighty Hoopla website.

Mighty Hoopla Founder Glyn Fussell commented in a statement: “Australia has always been my second home, it’s where I found out who I was as a queer man. And in turn has always been part of the Mighty Hoopla family in spirit — you’ve got the best pop fans in the world!
“To finally bring the Hoopla magic to Sydney is a dream come true. Expect joy, chaos, and the campest day of your life. Our touchdown is a dream come true.”
Mighty Hoopla Co-founder Jamie Tagg added, “We’re honoured to be able to bring Mighty Hoopla to the other side of the world. After Kesha’s incredible headline performance with us in London earlier this year, we knew she was the only artist we wanted to make our Australian debut with.”
Since its inception in London in 2016, Mighty Hoopla has quickly become the biggest pop festival in the UK, all while celebrating freedom and inclusivity. Previous line-ups of the UK edition have included music royalty such as Nelly Furtado, Sugababes, Kelly Rowland, TLC, All Saints, Jessie Ware, Years & Years, Steps, and many others.
