The troubadours will set off for a cross-country sojourn from early August
Seasoned tour-mates and venerated singer-songwriters Jack Carty and Jordan Millar have announced a joint 'Intimate and By Request' headline tour of Australia, set to roll around the country this August.
The sojourn reunites the two musos after some time apart, with Carty presently over in Europe in service of his recent full-length Esk (which he had previously taken around Australia and New Zealand on a whopping 37-date journey), and Millar keeping nose-to-grindstone in the studio working on new material right up until the tour kicks off. This is far from their first such rodeo, though — they sold out two 'Intimate and By Request' shows in Sydney back in March, so the formula is a proven one — so expect to find the pair in fine form when they get under way at Perth's Ellington Jazz Club on Saturday, 1 August.
From there, Carty and Millar will be putting the power in the hands of the people in Newcastle (6 August), Canberra (7 August), Sydney (8 August), Brisbane (14 August), Rous Mill (15 August), Adelaide (20 August), Melbourne (21 August) and Hobart, where they bring it all to a halt at The Grand Poobah on Saturday, 22 August.
If you're on top of it and nab your tickets as pre-orders, you'll automatically be granted an exclusive free download of the 11-track live album Jack Carty & Jordan Millar — Live @ The Front Gallery. For more information, see Carty and Millar's websites.
