What a day for Ja Rule.

More Ja Rule More Ja Rule

US rapper Ja Rule is in the headlines this morning thanks to some bizarre comments allegedly made by his wife Aisha Atkins on the MTV show Married Life After Prison - the existence of which can't be verified. Atkins is believed to have suggested that the rapper – real name Jeffrey Atkins – had left her to be with a man he met while serving time in prison.

“He wrote all them love songs and still don't know how to treat a bitch,” Atkins is quoted in Metro as saying.

“We spent ten-plus years building our marriage but it only took him two to decide he'd rather suck a dick than be with his wife.”

Ja Rule has quickly sought to quash the allegations, saying the reports are “false lies” made up by “clowns”.

The rapper served two years in prison on charges relating to weapon possession and tax evasion and was released in May of this year.

Good news for Australian fans of the rapper is that he has locked in two dates in our country early next year, dropping by Sydney and Melbourne for the first time since he got out of the slammer, with tickets for the show on sale today.
