"We’d love to see Oasis in town, and we’d love to see an Australian exclusive here in Perth," said the boss of Tourism Council WA.

With Oasis reuniting and making fans’ dreams come true with the news many of us never thought possible last week, speculation surrounding their yet-to-be-announced dates outside of the UK and Europe has run wild. And how could it not?
Of course, Aussies are keen to see Liam and Noel Gallagher on our shores again – it’s been a long 19 years since they played in Australia – but is there a chance that the WA Government will lock them in for exclusive shows as they did with Coldplay?
According to The West Australian, when the publication called the Premier’s office on Saturday (31 August), representatives for the Roger Cook government didn’t say yes… or no.
A spokesperson told the newspaper, “Oasis is an iconic act, and their reunion has created a huge amount of buzz around the world. The Cook Government is always on the lookout for exclusive blockbuster events that attract visitors to Western Australia, generate millions for our local economy and showcase our State as a must-see destination to the world.”
Tourism Council WA boss Evan Hall added that the “smart move” to secure an exclusive Oasis gig in Perth is to “lure them over” in conjunction with an Asian tour.
Hall commented, “We’d love to see Oasis in town, and we’d love to see an Australian exclusive here in Perth. The smart move is to lure them over as part of an Asian tour – if they do one.”

Since announcing the Oasis reunion, the brothers have announced tour dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, with extra dates added “due to unprecedented demand.”
Upon sharing the news of the reformation, a statement on the Oasis website read:
Oasis today end years of feverish speculation with the confirmation of a long awaited run of UK and Ireland shows forming the domestic leg of their OASIS LIVE ‘25 world tour. Oasis will hit Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin in the summer of 2025. Their only shows in Europe next year, this will be one of the biggest live moments and hottest tickets of the decade.
Where did the speculation of the Australian dates arise? The band confirmed that “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ’25 to go to other continents outside Europe later next year.”
