The boys started recording their new LP this week
Venerated Qld duo DZ Deathrays may have given fans an early sneak peek at their eagerly awaited third studio full-length album by way of unveiling their new limited T-shirt design.
The boys posted a 27-second clip to their Facebook page yesterday to show off their new threads, currently available through their online store, and amid the frenzy of people tagging each other to have a shot at making off with a free tee, at least one commenter noted that the "new song (if it is) sounds sick".
What we do know is that the band are currently in the studio as of this week laying down their next record to follow up 2014's lauded Black Rat, so that's a heck of a turnaround if it is an album track — honestly, odds are probably kind of slim that's what it is — but it definitely sounds like DZ regardless.
While it remains to be seen where the song will actually pop up in its entirety or what its true purpose is — standalone single? Featured on a split? Record Store Day release? — if this is the direction things are headed, we're as on board as ever.
