Taking place next week!
Just one week before it kicks off, annual independent music conference Indie-Con has been forced to pivot to an online-only event due to the COVID-related lockdowns and travel restrictions across the country.
The virtual event will kick off next Wednesday, August 4, and will feature UNIFIED founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford, Managing Director at Mushroom Music Publishing Linda Bosidis and Secret Sounds and Splendour In The Grass/Splendour XR co-founder Jessica Ducrou alongside Sarah Guppy (This Much Talent, Gig Life Pro), Clare Smith (Serenade), Millie Millgate (Sounds Australia), Lorrae McKenna (Our Golden Friend), Fanny Lumsden, Jaguar Jonze and many more across its three-day run.
Indie-Con is a yearly event that aims to guide artists, managers, producers and other industry members through the world of independent music and how to best market and present themselves in the ever-changing landscape of the Australian music scene and beyond.
The industry heads will partake in a number of panels and discussions including Tech And How It Can Work With Indies, Live Streaming Platforms And Licensing, Music Startups And Funding For Labels, NFT's, and many other topics.
The AIR Awards will also be presented online this year, set to go down via YouTube on August 5 at 8pm, hosted by Dylan Lewis and Jessica Braithwaite with performances from DMA’S, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks and Wolf & Cub.
