The Brightside to host hard-rock five-piece in place of defunct Tempo
Last week's untimely closure of Brisbane's Tempo Hotel left a number of bands who were booked there to play without a venue to do so, but at least one such band – hard-rockin' Byron Bay five-piece In Hearts Wake – has found an alternative: the brand new Fortitude Valley venue, The Brightside.
Although the securing of a new venue is undoubtedly a relief for performer and punter alike, “(w)hat this also means, is the show has a capacity nearly 200 tickets less than it did before. Which also mean(s) the show is sold to 60% capacity already.”
Despite the reduced capacity, as indicated, tickets remain available for the Brisbane show on June 15.
However, as of this afternoon, the band's all ages show with Being As An Ocean, Dream On, Dreamer, Endless Heights and Sierra at Arrows, in Melbourne, has officially sold out.

The band themselves are tipping Sydney and Perth's AA equivalents to do the same in the near future – so, if you are planning on heading along to one of those soirees, you'd best be speedy about hooking that up.
The shows form part of In Hearts Wake's support for Earthwalker, their eagerly awaited sophomore studio full-length – an undertaking that has involved environmentally friendly bundling and making their own anti-Abbott video game.
Earthwalker drops May 2 through UNFD.
