Universal Music Australia (UMA) is today launching a new imprint of the iconic record label that launched the careers of names such as KISS and Donna Summer.
Formed in the early '70s, Casablanca Records was one of the most successful disco labels around and after relaunching in 2012, UMA have now announced new imprint label, Casablanca Records Australia, which will offer progressive local indie-pop and electro acts the opportunity to tap into the global market.
The first Aussie artists to sign to the label's roster includes Running Touch, Just A Gent, St Albion and Vera Blue.
Casablanca Records Australia will hold its official launch party in Brisbane on Thursday, 8 September at the newly-established 256 Wickham venue. Performing acts on the night are yet to be announced as are ticket details.

Meanwhile, the US label continues to thrive with a roster that boasts the likes of Grammy Award—winning producer Giorgio Moroder, Crystal Castles, Felix Jaehn and more.
