Hunting Underground’s latest iteration will feature RVLR, Bent, and Couch Surfers.
A performance at Hunting Ground Studios (YouTube)
Morooka-based Hunting Ground Studios is hosting an affordable live music series, titled Hunting Underground.
Every Hunting Underground event will be held on the first Friday night of each month, and will feature performances from three bands or artists. Tonight’s rendition, kicking off at 7pm, will present performances from grunge rock band RVLR, pop-punk dream team Bent, and indie pop rockers Couch Surfers.

The events are meant to be inclusive and affordable, using a “pay-what-you-can” ticketing method ($20-$30 is the suggested price, but it’s up to you), and allowing - even encouraging! - punters to bring their own drinks.
Since starting Hunting Underground seven months ago, Hunting Ground Studios has become a hub for Morooka locals, bringing them together to enjoy intimate shows in a relaxed atmosphere, and allowing artists to connect, perform, and grow their craft.
And, in a beautiful team up, Hunting Underground is offering ticketholders 10% off their takeaways at Slipstream Brewing Co., a mere 4 minute drive away. As the events themselves don’t sell food, punters are encouraged to head to Slipstream, grab some grub, and bring it to the gig.
Just as a heads up though, because, as Hunting Underground’s FAQs state, there is a “no dickhead policy”. Beware.
Hunting Underground’s next event is tonight at 7pm. Find tickets here. Keep an eye on Hunting Ground Studio’s socials for December’s line-up.
