We thought the 2024 Grammy Awards would only be available to watch via Paramount+ in Australia, but we’ve been proven wrong.

This year’s awards will air live and free exclusively on Channel 7 and 7plus at noon AEDT on Monday, 5 February.

Viewers from across the country can tune in/have the show playing in the background while at work as Australian artists like Troye Sivan, Kylie Minogue and Dom Dolla rub shoulders with artists including David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Wet Leg and many more.

Dom Dolla received a nod for Best Remixed Recording for his work on the track New Gold by Gorillaz featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown. Minogue, up for one Grammy Award, has been nominated for Best Pop Dance Recording (for Padam Padam). Meanwhile, Troye Sivan stars in two categories – Best Pop Dance Recording and Best Video – for his song Rush.

In addition to those three, Jess Cerro (aka Montaigne) and collaborators Tripod and Austin Wintory have been nominated for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media for their work on Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. Aussie guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel and the LA-based guitar group The String Revolution’s take on Folsom Prison Blues has seen them receive the nomination for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella.

This week, it was reported that Canadian music legend Joni Mitchell would perform at the Grammy Awards for the first time. As well as Mitchell’s highly anticipated performance, Billy Joel will also appear as a performer, taking the stage just three days after releasing his first new song in 17 yearsTurn The Lights Back On.
