Burgeoning Australian artist Hoodzy has been announced as the first artist to sign to triple j presenter Hau Latukefu's new label, Forever Ever.

The signing coincides with the release of the 17-year-old Perth rapper's new single, The Land; check it out below.

Hoodzy describes herself as "17, female, gay, brown skin and chasing the same dream even if the odds are already against me. I’ll never be ashamed of who I am. The world is mine. If you’re rocking with me, all love is for ya’ll”.


Discussing the new track, Hoodzy said, "For this single I just wanted everyone from all areas and postcodes to be able to rep’ where they’re from, and to ultimately be proud of where they came up.”

Latukefu added, “I’m excited to launch Forever Ever with a talent like Hoodzy and a joint like The Land.

After launching triple j's online series, Bars Of Steel, Hoodzy went on to perform her first ever gigs as the support act for Triple One's local tour, followed by the 2019 Listen Out festival in Perth.
