Holly Candy (known professionally as Holly Valance) has taken a stand against left-wing political ideas, calling them “crap”.
In a new interview with GB News’ Christopher Hope, the Australian singer, actress and model discussed her political views while at the event for PopCon, a new conservative movement led by former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss.
“Have you always been a right-of-centre person? Are you conservative? Where are you, politically?” Hope asked.
Valance responded, “I would say that everyone starts off as a leftie, then wakes up at some point, after you start either making money, working, trying to run a business, trying to buy a home, and then you realise what crap ideas they all are. And then you go to the right.”
Valance later described Truss as “really, really interesting to listen to” and endorsed a member of the British Conservative Party, Jacob Rees-Mogg, as Britain’s next Prime Minister. “Jacob for PM,” she said.
When asked about the “climate crisis or lack of”, she replied that “cleaner, cheaper energy is what we need” and that any restrictions on “normal people” are “insanity like smashing your head up against a wall”.
