Adelaide hip hop crew Hilltop Hoods are on track to edge their way into the ARIA Singles Chart top five this week with their current single Cosby Sweater.

The track has featured in the charts for almost five weeks, peaking at nine in last week's figures. The song is off the rap game veterans' latest LP Walking Under Stars, which the band are currently touring around the country.

The other big news that is expected to come out of the charts this week is the Foo Fighters going to number one in the ARIA Albums Chart with their new release Sonic Highways. The LP is on track to dethrone Taylor Swift and her new record 1989 from the top.

Veteran rock band Pink Floyd are also expected the debut highly on the album front this week — The Endless River should nab a placing in the top five. Other artists that will enter the Albums Chart for the first time this week include The X-Factor winner Marlisa (Marlisa), American metal band Machine Head (Bloodstones & Diamonds), Melinda Schneider & Beccy Cole (Great Women Of Country) and Knife Party (Abandon Ship).

Pop star Katy Perry's current Aussie tour should also see her move back into the Albums Chart, with her latest album Prism on target to go top 20. Her 2012 reissue compilation Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection should enter the top 50.
