We're excited to premiere the video for 'Middle Of Nowhere'

More Ruby Boots More Ruby Boots

There’s never a dull moment for Perth artist Ruby Boots (i.e. Bex Chilcott), so it’s no surprise the new clip from the Alt-country Americana singer-songwriter tells numerous stories.

The release of the clip for Middle Of Nowhere kicks off an exciting year for her, following on from a smashing 2015 that saw the release of a new record as well as being awarded an APRA PDA in November.

Directed by Nashville’s Mick Leonardi, who worked on the clip for Cola And Wine, the music video was shot over several hours from midnight and reflects that isolation perfectly.

It’s a simple and effective video that draws emphasis to the song’s strong melodies and engaging lyrics.

Written on a farm in remote Utah, the song itself is taken from the acclaimed debut album Solitude and is the result of a writing trip around the US with The Waifs' Vikki Thorn.

The video’s release comes in the lead up to an epic run of dates that covers Australia, Asia and the US, kicking off this Friday at Riverboats Festival in Victoria.

Solitude is out now via Lost Highway Australia/Universal Music.
