Have organisers secretly revealed the first band playing?
Annual heavy and hardcore music fest UNIFY has confirmed they will go ahead next year, after being forced to cancel their 2021 iteration due to the pandemic.
It's slated to take place from January 20 - 23 with its line-up announced this Thursday, August 19, at 8.40am AEST.
It has also been confirmed that an all-Australian line-up will take place at the fest when it hits up Tarwin Lower in South Gippsland next year.
Organisers also said they have locked in backup dates for the event if they are unable to go ahead with the planned January times. If postponements do bring a halt to their New Year's plans, the festival will move to March 10 - 13.
UNIFY shared a teaser video to their YouTube announcing the event today, possibly hinting at one of the bands due to play. The 18-second clip features a snippet of I Hate Hartley by Queensland metalcore outfit The Amity Affliction. The 2022 festival also coincides with the 10th anniversary of the band's third album, Chasing Ghosts.
