Have Your Chance To Play Southbound 2015 With Stagebound

Perth's forthcoming Southbound festival is opening its doors for applications from West Australian acts hoping for a spot on the already-esteemed line-up via its Stagebound competition.

Stagebound is taking a slightly different format from previous iterations: bands are to send their applications in as per usual (details below), before a shortlist of acts will be rounded up by the good folks at Southbound, proudly presented by The Music. From there, three grand finalists will be chosen — one each by the teams at Xpress, Pilerats and your friendly crew at theMusic.com.au — with the big winner being revealed following a November showcase. They'll then take to the Big Top Stage to open proceedings on Saturday, January 3, at the annual event.

Everyone who votes gets a chance to win a double Happy Camper pass to Southbound, so there's extra incentive to get involved and help the festival's line-up take its final form.

Artists interested in applying to be considered for Stagebound 2015 should email artists@sunsetevents.com.au with a rundown of your band/act name, a short bio (fewer than 250 words, Word format), a promo photo (about 1MB in size), a link to all relevant social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr etc), your nominated/preferred clip/track, contact details (name, number, email), and optional links to additional content such as SoundCloud/YouTube/Unearthed/Bandcamp pages and the like.

Get all that in by 11.59pm WST next Friday, October 24, and you're on the way to maybe kicking off Southbound 2015 in style — as long as you're available for the (TBA) showcase and the slot on January 3.

For the punters, once the finalists have been selected, you'll be able to cast your (single) vote at Southbound's Stagebound page. Voting opens on Monday, November 3, and closes at 11.59pm WST on December 5.
