Mullum Music FestivalThere aren't usually many silver linings to speak of when you're going through a break-up but Mullum Music Festival might be changing that — they're asking aspiring singer/songwriters to pen a break-up song for this year's Play Mullum songwriting competition.
The break-up song theme follows last year's 'one day can change everything' theme, 2015's 'protest songs' and 2013's 'hitting the road', and will offer the winner a chance to win a 30-minute set at Mullum, along with a double pass.
You don't need to record/film anything fancy to enter — Mullum are happy with an iPhone video of your tearjerker and we're willing to bet the more raw your emotions, the better. Your song will be judged by an editorial team after applications close on 26 October.
