More Gypsy & The Cat More Gypsy & The Cat

Melbourne popsters Gypsy & The Cat have just announced the forthcoming release of their sophomore record, The Late Blue, to drop on Friday 19 October. The band, who have spent the last couple of years gigging locally and internationally, will then hit the road with a run of Australian tour dates.

The Late Blue, mixed by sonic mastermind Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT) follows the massive success of Gypsy & The Cat's debut record Gilgamesh. The lead single, Sorry, layers an infectious pop hook over a combination of analogue electronica and tribal vibes, as danceable as it is enigmatic. The album will be released by the band's own label, Alsatian Music under Universal Australia.

The band have recently completed an extensive touring schedule that includes Japan's Summersonic Festival, Big Day Out, Future Music Festival and Splendour in the Grass as well as headline tours of in Australia, the UK and Europe. The following five tour dates will be your only chance to catch the band in 2012 before they head out internationally once again.
