Gwar Lead Mammoth Metal Sidewaves

Four incredible bands on the one bill.

More Gwar Gwar

Four of the most ferocious bands on this year's Soundwave Festival bill come together for two almighty nights of crazy heavy metal action in just a couple of weeks' time.

A Gwar live show is an unmissable experience, a completely fucked up show full of all manner of things you don't usually see at a live show, all matched up with some seriously brutal thrash metal. The band have been doing this for decades now and they're not getting any worse at shocking audiences around the globe in the best way possible and these intimate shows will ensure you don't miss anything!

Sweden's Amon Amarth are fellow veterans of the metal game and their epic, Norse mythology inspired brand of music is even better on the live stage than it is on record. That's saying something, because they've put out nine great records over the years; you'll just have to trust us.

Norweigian black metal masters Satyricon are another unstoppable force in metal, the band never resting on their laurels or bowing to genre tropes for the sake of it, they continue to be one of the great black metal bands around and will prove that beyond doubt later this month.

Finally the deathcore madness crossed with Gotherburg influenced metal of The Black Dahlia Murder will ensure you get your arse in early, as their brutal live performances are simply not to be missed, as anyone who has seen them over the years will attest.

Sydney and Melbourne audiences ought to prepare for the carnage now; tickets are on sale from Thursday 13 February and dates are in theGuide below.
