Sydney-based indie label Dinosaur City Records has today announced the signing of LA-via-Canada act, Gum Country

The Music can exclusively reveal the the duo, made up of Courtney Garvin (The Courtneys) and Connor Mayer, join a roster that already features bands like Greenwave Beth and Sunscreen, as well as New York's Cotillon.

"[Co-founder Cody Munroe Moore] and I discovered Gum Country around this time last year, at a bowling club called All Star Lanes in Eagle Rock, LA," Dinosaur City's Jordanne Chant told The Music.

"We were in the USA on tour with Greenwave Beth, and our friend Jonny Kosmo helped us out by putting on a little show in his neighbourhood. Gum Country ended up being our favourite band out of the tends (or dare I say hundreds) of artists we saw throughout our trip.

"We asked Gum Country for a song on our last compilation we put out (some might recall track Brain Song). We are super excited to be taking their music to an Australian audience for their debut full-length release, and to be working with Burger Records again!"

Gum Country will release their debut album, Somewhere, on 19 June.
