Will Grinspoon Release Another Album? Phil Jamieson Says 'There's A Lot Of Boxes To Tick'

'There's songs floating around... "

More Grinspoon Grinspoon

Phil Jamieson says there are "a lot of boxes to tick" if Grinspoon are ever to release a new album.

Appearing on the latest episode of The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast to promote the Aussie outfit's upcoming headline tour, Jamieson said he agreed with recent comments made by guitarist Pat Davern who said "there would be no point in putting out a record that wasn't better than anything we've ever done before".

"It'd have to be of a high standard and we're pretty high markers," Jamieson told Neil Griffiths when asked about new Grinspoon music.

"But in saying that there's songs floating around and we'll see."

On when fans could ever expect the follow up to 2012's Black Rabbits, the legendary frontman said, "I've zero idea".

"I'm one foot in front of the other and that's October [Grinspoon's tour]," Jamieson said.

"There's a lot of boxes to tick. I mean, maybe. But October, November for me first."
