Lee Kernaghan And Felicity Urquhart Dominate 2020 Golden Guitar Nominations

Country music heavyweights Lee Kernaghan and Felicity Urquhart have dominated nominations for the 2020 Golden Guitar Awards, leading the finalist's field with eight nods each.

Both artists are in the running for Album Of The Year (Kernaghan's Backroad Nation and Urquhart's Frozen Rabbit), as well as Apple Music Single Of The Year, CMC Video Clip Of The Year and APRA AMCOS Song Of The Year. 

Victorian songwriter Sara Storer also picked up seven nominations on the back of her seventh studio album, Raindance, including Album Of The Year and Female Artist Of The Year, while Newcastle-born Morgan Evans is up for four categories, including Album Of The Year, Contemporary Album Of The Year and Male Artist Of The Year.


Amber Lawrence, Brad Butcher, Luke O’Shea & Lyn Bowtell, and The Wolfe Brothers have all received three nominations. 

“Country music is enjoying a new golden era in Australia, which is a testament to the incredible talent of artists such as those we are celebrating today," Chairman of the Country Music Association of Australia, Daniel Biddle, said on Tuesday.

The winners of the 2020 Golden Guitar Awards will be revealed at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre on 25 January.
