This article may distress some readers, as it mentions details of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Genesis Owusu organised a soundcheck party in Denver ahead of his sold-out show for the Muslims Around The World (MAWT) Project, which is working to offer civilian aid in Gaza.

The ticket for the soundcheck party on 3 November included an exclusive viewing of Owusu’s soundcheck performance, hanging out for a 45-minute event, and a meet and greet with Genesis Owusu.

“Denver! The show sold out really fast; I know a lot of you couldn't get tickets in time. Come down to the venue at 5 pm and come watch my soundcheck! I'll play a few tracks, sell and sign some merch, meet and greet vibes,” Owusu wrote on Instagram.

He added, “It's $20 minimum entry, but donate as much as you're willing as all proceeds from tickets and merch will go to MATW International (@matw_project) for civilian aid in Gaza. I can only fit like 30 people though so get in quick! Thank you and see you tomorrow”.

In a second photo posted to Instagram, Owusu shared a recent post by the MATW Project, a nonprofit organisation providing urgent aid for those affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

“The hospital has expressed its sincere gratitude to our MATW donors for the much-needed relief while they face extensive energy cuts and fuel restrictions,” a spokesperson for MATW wrote. Thanks to the support of Owusu and many others, “This has enabled them to provide urgent, life-saving treatment to our Palestinian sisters, brothers and children.”

The Israel-Hamas war continues, with Al Jazeera reporting this morning that Israel confirmed striking an ambulance in Gaza in front of the al-Shifa Hospital, killing 15 people and injuring 16 others. Israeli officials alleged that Hamas was using the ambulance, a claim that was rejected by the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza.

Genesis Owusu released his new album, STRUGGLER, in August and will tour Australia in December with special guests EARTHGANG and Elsy Wameyo. You can find the tour dates below.
