G Flip will be honoured with their own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Sydney next year.

The latest celebrity – and the first non-binary individual – to be immortalised at Madame Tussauds, G Flip is in some impressive company alongside Kylie Minogue, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Jimmy Barnes, and Troye Sivan as part of the Sydney Live! collection.

For G Flip’s wax figure, the Madame Tussauds team drew inspiration from the Be Your Man star’s latest album, DRUMMER. Their wax figure will sit atop a Yamaha bass drum.

A team of eight from Madame Tussauds took 100 measurements and 300 photos of G Flip during the singer and musician’s seven-hour sitting. The team also carefully selected the wax figure’s eye colour, as G Flip’s eye colour changes in different lights.

Over the next ten months, the Madame Tussauds team will create the G Flip wax figure. They’ll spend approximately 170 hours moulding the figure before inserting each individual hair, and colourists will add the finishing touches ahead of the official unveiling at Darling Harbour next year.

G Flip said of receiving their own wax figure, “It’s very surreal to get a Madame Tussauds wax figure! Representation has never been more important, and it’s a true honour to be the first non-binary celebrity to have their own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney. I’m very grateful for this honour - and pretty stoked to have another G out in the world!”

The General Manager of Madame Tussauds Sydney, Richard Dilly, said the team is “thrilled” to celebrate G Flip’s music career and impact.

“Honouring G Flip with a wax figure recognises their contribution to the arts and is a huge win for our guests, who adore G and have been increasingly requesting their figure in the attraction,” Dilly added. “G is an absolute global superstar, and we can’t wait for them to take centre stage at Madame Tussauds Sydney and continue inspiring guests with their incredible legacy.”
