Full Line-Up Announced For 'We Are The Voice' World Record Attempt From John Farnham's Band

With just a month to go until thousands of music-lovers unite to sing John Farnham classics in an attempt to enter the Australian Book Of Records, the full line-up for the event has been announced.

First detailed back in November, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl will be transformed into a utopia for those who love a singalong this March, as event director Chong Lim and the legendary Farnham Band will be joined by special guests to collectively attempt a world record for the most people singing John Farnham songs. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation.

The event will also be the first time that the Farnham Band have performed together since taking to the stage for Firefight in 2020.

“This will be a powerful night of music, unity and celebration,” says Lim. “To stand on stage with the Farnham Band again and hear thousands of Australians singing these songs together will be something truly special.”

Now, the full line-up for the event has been announced ahead of proceedings kicking off on Friday, March 13th.

Alongside Lim and the Farnham Band, Em Rusciano will serve as host of the evening, while acclaimed choir master Jonathon Welch AM will prepare and conduct the audience as the ultimate mass choir, guiding thousands of voices through Farnham’s venerated back catalogue.

Additionally, Southern Sons’ Jack Jones joins the bill, alongside rising country star Taylor Moss, dynamic vocalists Crackup Sister Iffy (Nerida Matthaei) and Rachel Bostock, and the Choir Of Hard Knocks.

Hypnotist entertainer Mark Anthony will also appear at the event, who will be attempting his own world record for hypnotising the most people at one time on stage at the Bowl.

"Chong has done a wonderful job producing this show,” Farnham said in a statement. “From one of my favourite singers, Jack Jones to the touching voices that make up the Choir of Hard Knocks... I hope you all have a great night!”
