Matthew Molnar left the band before they came to Australia

Brookyln based indie-pop outfit Friends are currently touring Australia as a four piece after key member Matthew Molnar quit the band shortly before they got on a plane to Australia, theMusic.com.au can confirm.

The band, who will play Splendour In The Grass this weekend, debuted their new four-piece line-up in Adelaide, before having time to rehearse the new line-up.

Upon arriving in Melbourne, and after media commitments, the band entered a Richmond rehearsal space to work out arrangements for the newly-configured four-piece before their sideshow last night. Molnar played both guitar and keys in the previous line-up.

The line-up change will not affect the band's tour plans. Earlier this year the band released their debut album Manifest!.
