Freddie Gibbs Announces 2026 Australian Tour

Accompanying his headline performances at the new festival, 'Move My Way.'

American rapper Freddie Gibbs is returning to Australia this October.

It was recently announced that he’d be headlining the newly launched festival, Move My Way, which takes place in Melbourne and Sydney. Now, he’s added extra dates in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth.

Gibbs’ upcoming tour begins at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday, 2 October, followed by his appearances at Move My Way at Sydney’s Carriageworks on Saturday, 3 October, and Melbourne’s PICA on Sunday, 4 October.

From there, the revered rapper takes to Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday, 6 October, and concludes the run at Perth’s Metro City on Thursday, 8 October.

The inaugural Move My Way festival presents a genre-fluid display of artists spanning hip-hop, R&B, jazz and modern club music. Joining Gibbs at the festival are acts including Ezra Collective, Sampa The Great, Kokoroko, and many others. You can find out more about the events here.

Since making a name for himself with self-released mixtapes in the 2000s, Freddie Gibbs’ first properly distributed release, the Str8 Killer EP, arrived in 2010. He followed that up with albums including the Madlib collaborative project Piñata in 2014, and dropped Shadow of a Doubt in 2015, and You Only Live 2wice in 2017.

Additional releases followed in 2018, 2019, and 2020, with collaborations alongside The Alchemist, Rick Ross, Tyler, The Creator and more on 2020’s Alfredo. Flash forward to 2025, and Gibbs and The Alchemist returned with Alfredo 2. Earlier this year, Gibbs unveiled the deluxe version of You Only Die 1nce, adding ten new tracks to his original 2024 release.
