Frankston’s Waterfront Festival is returning for another year, with some heavy hitters headlining this year's list of musical entertainment.

Frankston’s Waterfront Festival is getting ready to return early next year, announcing the dates and music lineup for its 2025 edition.

Coming back to the titular waterfront across Friday, February 7th and Saturday, February 8th, the Waterfront Festival will be combining live music music alongside a roster of global eats, activities and demonstrations, rides and amusements, a garden bar, and a closing-night fireworks display.

It’s a beloved event for Frankston locals, with 45,000 attendees showing up to Frankston’s signature summer event to partake in the myriad activities each year.

For music-lovers, its the lineup of artists and bands who will be hitting up the stages over the two days.

On the Friday, the headline act will be legendary Aussie duo Sneaky Sound System, who will bring their signature dance anthems to the stage as the sun sets over the bay. The same day will also feature the addition of names such as Sunshine & Disco Faith Choir, Amaru Tribe, and Coco Michelle.

On Saturday, the evening will be headlined by indie folk duo Pierce Brothers, who are currently celebrating ten years since their breakout EP, The Night Tree, with a nationwide tour. They’ll be joined by the charismatic Queenie and the nine-piece West African/Cuban collective Ausecuma Beats.

The lineup will also feature eclectic performances from the likes of Steph Strings, Lotte Gallagher, George & Noriko, and Natasha Kate across the day.

The festival activities will also be in full effect on the Saturday, including the Rotary Duck Race as colourful ducks take over the creek, and the Frankston Swim Classic, which is an integral part of the event whether you’re competing or cheering from the sand.
